September 2nd, 2010 -
It’s been a relatively quiet for BetterTipster members recently. Even though we’ve had fewer bets than normal, we continue to make profits. The weather has played a big part in the quiet spell as we are just not happy backing flat horses on soft ground. Long term, with this method, the bookies will be the only winners. It’s far better to stay conservative in staking and not bet out of necessity.
So, what’s been happing since the below post? Well, we’ve had two winners at 14/1 & only today at 2/1. One of the losers was advised at 12/1 and returned 4/1 after being heavily gambled on all day. Unfortunately our horse got outpaced over a short trip despite being a huge gamble and great trading position.
Last week we backed Days Of Our Summer at 12/1, who duly won. It was a great piece of information, as on form the horse could not win after showing very little on its first run. We were informed of the switch to fibre sand would make a massive difference and so it proved with an easy winner at a huge 12/1. These big priced winners come to us just as easy as odds on favourites. Remember our info guys work daily at race tracks not 3rd hand info it comes straight from the track.
Then yesterday (Tuesday), we backed Mushy Peas at 2/1. The horse won under a fantastic ride from Cathy Gannon. We were also given this horse on Monday at 33/1 E/W 3rd, that information was also passed on to members. Today was the first time the money was down, and that money was not misplaced. This win will keep us ticking over nicely.
All eyes are now focused on the National Hunt season. Plans are already in place to start making stable visits. We have already visited to one of the leading jumps trainers and have another visit this weekend. I am hoping to get the BetterTipster jumps notebook horses out to members by the end of September, if not before. The horses we are interested in are not just the well known superstars; the real dark horses, the unraced flat horses from France as well as some smart younger ones. There is plenty to look forward too.

After eight solid weeks of making great profits, the brilliant run had to come to an end at some point for members. It did just that over the past week as we had a change in fortune. Members were advised to back two horses within a couple of days, both of which unfortunately broke down in running. There is nothing you can do about this except just take it on the chin and move on. Then we almost landed another big priced winner, but the horse didn’t get going until it was too late, and in the end we were beaten by less than a length at 16/1, although clients did get a return on the E/W money.
I will put my hands up for the Saturday just passed, where in all fairness we made a mistake in placing a bet. The ground was much softer than reported by the course and our selection could not handle it. After running a poor race, we were staring at three losers on the bounce (shock horror!). Thankfully we were playing to small stakes.
On Sunday though we received information from our best contact who once again came up with the goods. The message was simple as that “the horse would win”, and so it proved when Khorun won with any amount in hand (the winning distance was 15 lengths). The price was not the best, even money, but this was a big gamble.
Today, the day before the start of the big Ebor meeting at York, we had information on a horse that connections backed in the hope of a successful run. We were informed the horse had its ideal conditions, whilst the drop in class would benefit. I’ve been asked not to name the horse on the website for different reasons I can reveal it landed a great punt, winning at 8/1!
Back to normal and a lovely bet landed. This now gives us plenty of ammunition for the Ebor meeting.

This week shall remain in memory for a long like time to come. It was the week that members made £500 betting to just £10 stakes. Family holidays paid for, Credit Card bills paid off in full, Birthday presents purchased & the most money I have ever won in my life. These are just some of the comments received from members this week. So, what happened? Well it turns out that the profits made at the start of the week on
Lords Bridge,
Wake Up Call &
Gulf President were just a warm up to Goodwood.
We placed just two bets at Goodwood with the results:
Joseph Henry – Won @ 33/1
Jonny Mudball – 2nd @ 16/1 E/W (Beaten a nose)
Our information did us proud at Goodwood with these two blinding winners (I reiterate that these were our only two bets since the previous update). Members were told of some top class horses early on Friday morning. The horse was Joseph Henry. Members were told about the work this horse had been doing at home and the horses it had been working with. “Get on!” was the clear message. We even gave the 2nd placed horse, the forecast paying 176/1 with one member placing the bet! The horse led from start to finish just as we were told. This landed a massive payout for both our personal accounts and members. The majority of people will never back a 33/1 shot, never mind one that was highly fancied. There were amazing scenes with clients ringing up seconds after the race screaming with joy.
Then, only the day after, we bet in the Stewards cup trying for the big race double. We so nearly got it with our selection Jonny Mudball. Again, the horse lead from the off and looked the winner all barr the line where we just got caught in the last stride at 16/1. The horse that beat us was Evans And Odds which also happened to be the only other horse that we mentioned! The forecast paid a huge 234/1. We had to settle for the E/W money, but you can’t win them all. Below are some of the members comments received this week:
Peter – “Multiple congratulations. The most money I have ever won one horse.”
Hayden – “Sensational – absolutely sensational!! Many Thanks”
Michael – “Just like to thank you for 33/1 winner you gave me today! Absolutely brilliant information and not only that, you consistently deliver healthy profits week on week out!”
Colin – “Just a quick email to say thanks for the terrific tip today, also to let you know that after having been conned by several so called tipsters its a pleasure to find a genuine one, who obviously cares about what he does”
What a week and a cracking two months with 6 profitable weeks and 2 break-even. You heard it correctly, not a losing week in two months! We are fully aware that you’re only as good as your last winning selection. So, as normal we shall be working harder than ever to beat the bookies and keep this fantastic winning run going.
You can see two of the bets we had with Bet365 below, this is the second account we have had with them and I can’t see it lasting much longer:

It has been a busy old week at BetterTipster with a few bets, but as normal the same results; winners & more profits for members!
The busy week started at Yarmouth, on Monday, where Wake Up Call was first past the post to get us off to a flyer for the week. The horse had been off the track for a while due to a few niggles but we knew how highly this horse is rated and nothing less than a win was expected. Wake up call came home a cosy first despite not liking the ground. Certainly a nice way to start the week of with a 2/1 winner.
Our next stop was a really busy night at Perth that resulted in four bets. Since the service started we haven’t had four bets at one meeting in the same day (excluding Cheltenham). One of these bets was highly significant as it was one of our largest bets ever, more on that in a minute. First up was Gulf President who got the ball rolling winning by 12 lengths under Richard Johnson. Gulf President foiled a big gamble from the Gordon Elliott yard that was heavily backed. The information on our selection was spot on and the result was never in any danger, a 9/4 winner.
We then backed a horse that failed to show it’s true running. After dropping back in trip, the horse found everything happening too quickly and this resulted in some bad jumping errors that ruined any chance of the win. Then came one of our largest bets this service has ever had. Members were told clearly that this horse was a very good thing and would not be beaten. We took an early 8/11, which admittedly is a price much shorter than we usually back but value is value at any price. The horse’s price was smashed at all day long and returned 4/7 SP. Lords Bridge hacked up in a canter by 20 lengths plus. A massive bet landed in style with never any anxious moments.
Our final bet of the night ran a great race jumping the last with a really good chance but was just caught out on the run-in and finished 3rd. A fantastic evening for us and a smashing profit made.

Following on from a great gamble on Carlitos Spirit, we did it again on the same horse. This time the price was not quite as large, but connections were keen to get the horse out again and avoid the penalty. No mistake was made as Carlitos Spirit won at 2/1 under a great ride from the jockey Lee Topliss.
Fantastic couple of days for connections and us
July 31st, 2010 -
It has been another fantastic week for BetterTipster members. We really are on a fantastic run at the moment that has now lasted 7 weeks!
We had two lovely priced winners this week with Carlitos Spirit winning by 10 lengths on-the-bit at 5/1. We knew this was the time to back the horse as everything was right; the rail draw, galloping track and a top jockey. There were never any dangers with the horse cantering home without leaving second gear. The race was run exactly how we were informed. A good bet landed.
The week was not over by any means as members were informed on Friday night that we had a very strong word for a horse running at the weekend. This was a Group horse in the making. Temple Meads did not let us down winning the big race of the day for us at 11/2. We were informed not to worry about the other 23 runners as this horse was a class act and would win. The horse did just that winning easily and landing some large bets for members. Temple Meads is held in the highest regard by connections, his next race is the Group 2 Gimcrack. We so nearly landed a 25/1 double on Saturday but got gubbed on the line after leading the whole race apart from where it mattered most. An E/W bet landed regardless.
This week four bets winners at 5/1, 11/2, E/W 2nd and a loser. 12 points profit tucked nicely away in our pockets and another two months membership paid for by the very generous bookmakers.
July 11th, 2010 -
We have placed just one more bet this week at the Newmarket meeting. The horse was Society Rock who has previously done us a massive favour when he finished 2nd at 50/1 in the Jubilee sprint. Unfortunately Society Rock pulled too hard and ruined his chance this time despite finishing fast. Keep with Society Rock, I think that a big sprint win is not far away.
On Saturday we placed one bet on a runner at Nottingham who failed to handle the firm going. Various Jockeys have reported the ground was riding like the M1, our selection did not enjoy it at all and was running with very high knee action. Unfortunately the horse returned jarred up and sore. We need softer ground for this one to show its best!
This put us at a slight loss for the week, and our first losing week in seven. Luckily today, Sunday, our best contact came in with information of a horse running over the jumps that did the business with no problems at all. The Ferbane Man won at 11/10 for clients; this recouped the money lost at Newmarket and ensured the roll contained. Out of the last seven weeks, five have been winning weeks and two have seen us break even.
July 8th, 2010 -
Two bets on the first day of the July meeting at HQ. Our first selection was never given a chance by the jockey. The horse finished on the bridle with a lot left in the tank. In my opinion our selection was still the best horse in the race. But we came back with Spacious E/W who finished 2nd. Members backed the horse at 10/1. We so nearly landed a big payout after the horse led all bar the line. We got the two short jollys beaten, but Music Show caught us at the death. So close.
Our sympathy goes out to Choc Thornton who faces a year on the sidelines with a bad knee injury after his mount crashed through a barrier. This was a shocking incident and could have been much worse. These jump jockeys really do risk their necks each time they jump on board. The Alan King yard had a difficult time last year after being hit hard by a virus. Going in to the new season, this was the last thing they needed. Let’s hope Choc comes back quicker than expected and this excellent yard makes a flying start next season.

Below are a few pictures of the BetterTipster greyhound. At the moment the dog is enjoying being a young pup and is busy playing and running around as you would expect. Her training will start in October. She has a lovely pedigree with both parents having been A1 dogs. Hopefully she will provide us with some fun days out.
We also placed a Patent bet on Sunday that showed a profit with a 7/1 winner and placed horse.
July 4th, 2010 -
Another super bet was landed today with Fleeting Glance. Clients snapped up the freely available 6/1 when the bet was advised. The horse was backed heavily before the off and returned an SP of 9/2. Gamble landed. On paper Fleeting Glance could not win, but again we had the information spot on. The horse had run once before, finishing 11th out of 13, and showed nothing. We were told that his previous run was to be ignored, and so it proved. Fleeting Glance showed massive improvement and came home with a strong finish. Another fantastic (and profitable) week for members.
We also have the following World Cup bets still running including winner/top tournament scorer doubles:
Germany / Villa 69-1
Netherlands / Villa 112-1
Spain / Villa 9-1
As you can see we are very close to a huge payout. Clients can choose to lock-in a profit now with this fantastic trading opportunity. It’s not often that you back a 112/1 shot that is now trading at 4/1?
